Maggy, from Biddeford, Maine, USA completed this " Memories of Summer" challenge. She says that it has taken her a month to complete but that she really, really enjoyed doing the project. The final measurements are 27.5 inches wide by 21.5 inches high.
For the sky, she used half a sheet of sky print paper and the rest of the sky is torn paper. The reflection of the sun was dry brush painted. The sand is real sand from Siesta Beach in Sarasota, Florida. She had collected it while visting the area. Double sided tape was used to apply the sand to the picture by pouring the sand on the top side of the tape and shaking off the extra.
