I received a lovely card from Alison (Seasider) which I have posted in the Swap area. For some reason Customs thought it needed to be opened.
Alison sent with the card, an ATC which I'll post in the ATC area and some lovely Christmasy / vintage ribbon. I was so surprised and pleased to receive this.

If there was no Declaration on the outside of the envelope as to the contents, because of the bulk, they would be suspicious of what was inside. If mailing more than a card, it really is wise (although I don't always do it either :oops: ) to put a Declaration Label on the envelope.

Hello Carol,
Yes that may be why, however, I have sent and received unusual shaped parcels and have not have declaration forms attached. I asked at the post office and they said it depended on what I said was in the parcel. Maybe it was a random check.
Anyway, it looks like everything that Alison sent, got to me.
Not like Marilyns mail. That wasn't customs as far as I know.
